The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators commonly referred to as CIArb was founded in the United Kingdom in 1915, it was incorporated in 1924, and granted a Royal Charter in 1979. The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators has a multi-disciplinary membership of over 16,000 members located in 133 countries around the world, supported by an international network of 40 Branches.
